What the Ink Keeps

1111 inkblot plates on Ink. Every plate is a wallet. Every wallet holds ink. What you do with the ink is the whole game.

00 / PREFACE

Ten plates, then 1111.

In 1921 the Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach published ten inkblots and refused to say what they were. A century later people still look at them and say more than they meant to.

INKTROPY extends that test on-chain. Each plate is a generative inkblot, an ERC-6551 wallet, and a seat at a single shared treasury. There is one rule underneath all of it: ink only moves one way.

01 / THE TEST

Every plate is read.

Each plate is painted on one half and folded once. The other half is a mirror nobody drew. No two folds repeat, and none can be undone.

Every plate also carries a reading: what the subject saw, and a diagnosis. A moth. A wolf. A rug pull. Your ex. Most subjects are Normal. Some are Concerning. A few are Degenerate.

02 / THE WALLET

A plate is not a picture. It is an account.

Every INKTROPY plate is an ERC-6551 token-bound account: a wallet that belongs to the NFT itself. Whoever holds the plate controls the wallet.

At mint, each plate is filled with its full allocation of $INKTROPY. The ink lives inside the plate. Sell the plate and the ink goes with it.

03 / EVENT HORIZON

Burn all of it, and the plate collapses.

After mint, every holder faces one decision per plate. Keep the ink, and the plate stays a plate. Or burn its full allocation of $INKTROPY, and the plate crosses the Event Horizon.

A collapsed plate becomes a Singularity. Its artwork changes permanently, its star on the map turns black, and from that moment it draws from the Well.

PLATE 057 · STATUS INTACT

Irreversible. A Singularity cannot be refilled or restored. Partial burns do not count: the full allocation, or nothing.

04 / THE WELL

One pool. Two ways to drink.

A fixed share of secondary royalties and of $INKTROPY trading fees flows into a single treasury: the Well. The rates are published with the contract. The Well does not pay the team.

Every inflow is split the moment it arrives. 80% is shared equally between all Singularities. 20% accumulates in the Readings pot and is paid out, in full, to the solvers of each Reading.

Illustration only. Inflow depends on trading activity and is not a forecast. Fewer Singularities means a larger share each, which is the tension the game is built on.
05 / THE READINGS

Read your plate in public. Split the pot.

After mint, a new Reading opens on a regular cadence. Each Reading asks one question about your plate: what it sees, what its diagnosis says about you, sometimes a riddle hidden in the plate itself. You answer on X, in the open.

When the Reading closes, the entire Readings pot is split equally between every eligible post. No judges, no ranking, no favourites. One account, one post, one share.

  1. A Reading opens on @inktropynft with a prompt and a deadline.

  2. Post about your plate on X: the plate image, your reading, the tag @inktropynft and #INKREADING.

  3. The window closes after 72 hours. A snapshot confirms which posting accounts hold a plate or a Singularity.

  4. The pot is split equally between all eligible posts and paid in ETH. The pot then refills from the Well.

0.008ETH per account
1 = 1Account / post / share
ELIGIBILITY

The posting account must be linked to a wallet holding at least one plate or Singularity at the snapshot.

ONE ACCOUNT, ONE POST

Extra posts, duplicates and linked bot accounts are excluded. Holding more plates does not multiply the share.

EQUAL SPLIT

Every eligible post receives the same amount. Nothing is ranked or judged.

PAYOUT

Paid in ETH from the Readings pot within 48 hours of the close. Unclaimed shares roll into the next pot.

06 / THE MAP

1111 stars in a folded galaxy.

Every plate has a fixed position in a mirrored galaxy. Minted plates light up. Singularities go dark and bend the light around them. Some Readings are solved only on the map.

08 / QUESTIONS

Plainly answered.

Can a Singularity be reversed?

No. Burned $INKTROPY is destroyed and the plate's state change is permanent. That permanence is what gives a Singularity its claim on the Well.

Can I move the ink out of my plate instead of burning it?

Yes. The plate is a wallet you control. But only a plate that burns its full allocation can collapse. Ink that leaves the plate can never make it a Singularity again.

How is the Readings pot split?

Equally between every eligible post. One account, one post, one share, regardless of how many plates you hold.

How is the 80% split between Singularities?

Equally, per Singularity, at the time each inflow arrives. Collapsing earlier means receiving inflows for longer; collapsing later means fewer peers have yet to join.

Who pays into the Well?

A fixed share of secondary royalties and of $INKTROPY trading fees. Rates are published with the contract. Royalty enforcement varies by marketplace, so inflows vary too.

Is this an investment?

No. INKTROPY is an art collection with on-chain mechanics. There are no promised returns; the Well holds only what activity puts into it.

What is the only official link?

inktropy.xyz and @inktropynft on X. Anything else is not us.
